Individuality was not a popular stance during the embattled 60s and 70s, when a necessary part of the campaign for our rights was to present a united front. Today, we can take a more relaxed attitude. Irreconcilable differences are part of the full human ticket, and getting these across is an important counterbalance to the homophobic stereotypes still propagated by the media.
